Synthesized Field Recording V9.1
“Synthesized Field Recording” is an ongoing project of mine - to recreate the sound of anaolog field recordings, but completely digitally. No microphones were used in the making of this recording. All of the sounds you hear were made from scratch, starting from a simple sine tone or white noise. These basic tones were generated and manipulated using an array of digital and analog synthesizers. The sounds were then performed and recorded into Ableton. Editing such as volume adjustments, equalization, splicing, reverberation, and other techniques and treatments were applied.
Sen Sound
Over the past few years I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sen Sound, a design firm transforming hospital environments through human-centered sound design. Through my various design sprints with them I’ve worked on a number of projects, creating audio assets ranging from UI sounds and alerts to custom music and ambient soundscapes - often crafted to meet strict IEC guidelines + hardware constraints while striving to stay emotive and human. Tip: it’s cool if you let the examples below play straight through like a song :)
